Ideal for short to medium runs: NYLO PRINT PLATES
Nylo plates for pad printing combine economic efficiency and print quality in an impressive way for a fraction of the price.
Laser Engravable printing plates
Like with our Nylon and thin steel plates, Pad Print UK can supply laser etchable plates suitable to fit most machine manufacturers machines.
- Fast and repeatable process
- Less labour intensive
- Environmentally friendly
- Cost-effective
- No film requirement
- Etch depth controlled by adjusting laser power
- When using punched plates artwork position is dead on
- Reduces setup time when multicolour printing and/or replacing worn plates
- Plate life approximately 30,000 prints
Types of photopolymer plates:
- Alcohol washout: widely used as the polymer is less susceptible to attack by solvents contained in inks. Alcohol plates are more suitable for closed cup machines as the surface is harder and more shiny than the water wash equivalent allowing the cup to slide cleanly.
- Water washout: a more cost effective option suitable for short production runs. A more biodegradable version to the alcohol plate as it is washed out in normal water.
Plus Points:
- High economic efficiency
- Excellent reproduction
- Ideal for in-house production
THIN STEEL PLATES
A good alternative to production plates
Thin steel plates are ideal for longer print runs and cost effective production plates. Due to the unique nature of the steel it is possible to reproduce good high quality images for this amount of prints however at a hardness of between 52-54 Rockwell C the steel is not as hardwearing as 10mm production plates as it has a courser crystalline. Suitable for continuous production environment.
THICK STEEL PLATES
Also available as optional chromed polished
Production plates
For the long term results it is best to use this plate for high volume print runs. All our thick steel plates are 62- 64 Rockwell C in hardness giving a harder wearing and a finer crystalline structure resulting in the best print plate money can buy.
Chrome polished plates are available when high quality prints are required used in industries such as watch making.
